John de Mol thrilled with the success of this latest addition to The Voice franchise
Jimi Bellmartin (69) has been crowned as the first ever winner of The Voice Senior in the Netherlands last Friday night. The show wrapped up its first 4-episode season scoring fantastic ratings each week in all age demos, demonstrating the success of this latest addition to The Voice Family. It ranked number 1 in its time slot throughout the entire season. The final was watched by more than 2 million viewers, scoring a 30.3% market share in the key commercial demo and increasing its slot average by an impressive 71.2%. The Russian version of the show premiered last Friday on Channel One.
The format caters to all ages, whether giving the stage to kids, adults or now senior singing talent and is also enjoyed by all age groups.
