  • Successful launch ‘dating in the dark’ series 2 us & uk

    Monday August 9th  the first episode of the 2nd  season of Talpa's hit show 'Dating in the Dark’ was launched in the U.S. on ABC. The show was watched by over 4.5 million viewers and achieved a 1.8 market share in the target group, making it the big winner of the 10 pm time slot!

    In the UK, where the 2nd season premiered  on July 13th  ‘Dating in the Dark’ is breaking records, with the 6th episode delivering its highest ratings to date. Nearly 430.000 people watched the episode on Living, that featured a celebrity for the first time!

    Besides a second series in the USA and UK, the show is also on air in: Brazil, Colombia, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Turkey, The Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand and Romania. Negotiations in key territories are currently being finalized for production and broadcast in the fall 2010 schedules and will soon be announced.

    Dating in the Dark is available as format and all versions are available as a finished series.

    ‘Dating in the Dark’ is an unusual dating experiment. Behind light-sealed doors, three single men and three single women take the ultimate test! They meet each other, go on dates. Get to know each other through and through. But... all their dates take place in pitch-darkness! Will they find love based purely on their personalities? Do looks really matter? And what happens when the lights are finally turned on? Will they want to get to know each other even better, or do they walk away?
