  • Schwartzkopff tv and talpa media partners in germany

Schwartzkopff TV, a subsidiary of German media company Axel Springer, and Talpa Media, the media group of Dutch entrepreneur John de Mol, today announce an exclusive cooperation for Germany. Through the agreement the Hamburg-based production company obtains the exclusive right to co-produce with Talpa all its international formats across multiple TV genres - including reality, game show and scripted - for the German TV market.

In Germany Schwartzkopff TV successfully adapts international formats for the local market and produces major events and galas. Besides this, the company is one of the most experienced producers of high-quality daily talkshows. The company was founded in 1993 and is a hundred percent subsidiary of Axel Springer AG since 1999.

John de Mol comments on the deal: "Germany is one of the most important European TV markets and one of the biggest in the world. I am pleased that we found a brilliant partner with Schwartzkopff TV, who will perfectly restage our success formats over here. And I know what I'm talking about since I have worked here for almost 25 years."

Karsten Roeder, CEO of Schwartzkopff TV adds: „The cooperation is another important step for us to expand our portfolio on an international basis. I am pleased that we now have the additional possibility for establishing the successful formats of John de Mol's Talpa Media exclusively in Germany as well."

For 2010, just some of the appealing formats in Talpa's catalogue include: ‘The Golden Cage', ‘Dating in the Dark', ‘Viper's Nest', ‘Pretty Smart', ‘M/F', ‘Guesstimation', ‘I Love My Country', ‘Divided' and ‘Know Your Nation'. (Descriptions on: http://www.talpa.tv/formats/all)
